The multifunctional HMI sensor PR-SEN-MULTI forms the basis of a positioning system for those working in mines, especially in direct mining operations. The system detects the presence of people or machines equipped with a transponder in a shield support.
Position Recognition System
In times of digitalisation, the degree of automation of machines is constantly increasing. People are involved in this automation process through EEP's high-precision position recognition system. The recording takes place in real time and thus provides a multitude of functions and possibilities so that security can be increased and productivity increased.
PR-YOU-MULTI
The system can be operated both in addition to an electro-hydraulic control system from the EEP, and as a stand-alone system.
In addition, the PR-SEN-MULTI can optically (multicolored LED light)/acoustically indicate the presence of people or defined (limited) areas and warn optically/acoustically of violations (e.g. a person enters the blocked beacon support).
An alarm can also be sent to higher level systems (control center) if a person is not moved for a certain period of time because they may be injured.
The system can also be operated out of the long leg and is the right choice when accuracy and local precision are required.
In addition to people, machines such as cutter loaders or any other moving vehicle can be localized.
Personal Protection
A key function is to "inhibit" critical functions when a person is present in the shield support, which helps prevent accidents and thus significantly increases longstanding safety.
High Precision
The positioning system measures and calculates the precise position of the transmitter (person/machine) in the longwall. Each control unit (SCU) calculates its own position information and communicates with the appropriate SCU when there is a person in the corresponding walking enclosure.
